EVORYS Pearl Grading System

Why do we do pearl grading?

Grading pearls helps both vendors and customer assessing pearls’ quality, value, and desirability. Since pearls are natural or cultured organic gems, their characteristics can vary significantly. A standardized grading system provides consistency in evaluating their beauty and worth.

Pearl grading is important for:

  1. Quality Assurance – Ensures that pearls meet certain standards before reaching the market.
  2. Value Determination – Higher-grade pearls command higher prices, while lower-grade pearls are more affordable.
  3. Consumer Confidence – Buyers can compare pearls more easily and make informed purchasing decisions.
  4. Industry Standardization – Helps maintain fairness and transparency in the trade.
  5. Aesthetic Appeal – Grading highlights the finest pearls with the best luster, surface, shape, and color.

Although the global pearl industry lacks a universally standardized grading system, our approach is built upon the methodologies of leading industry experts, refined by our extensive experience in the pearl market.

By integrating these established grading principles with our deep expertise, we ensure each EVORYS pearl is evaluated with precision, consistency, and integrity—offering you only the finest selections.
